This policy explains what information AVS Depot collects, why we collect it, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. The store is operated by Advanced Vision Software LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste 4000, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — name, email address, and a password stored only as a cryptographic hash.
- Order details — products purchased, amounts paid, delivery method, shipping and billing addresses.
- Contact and support messages — anything you send through the contact form, vendor form or email.
Information collected automatically
- Standard technical data needed to operate and secure the site — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps.
- Session cookies required for sign-in and cart/checkout to function.
Information we never see
Full card numbers are entered into and processed by Stripe — our payment provider — and are never transmitted to or stored on AVS Depot's servers.
How we use it
- To fulfill orders — shipping physical items or emailing license keys.
- To provide order history, license records and account access.
- To send transactional email — receipts, delivery notifications, shipping updates, password resets.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, including order verification before delivery.
- To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
- To keep records required for accounting, tax and legal compliance.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the store, each for the specific purpose listed:
- Stripe — payment processing at checkout
- Supabase — database and account authentication
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and site security
- Shipping carriers — to deliver and track physical orders
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for third-party marketing. Service providers are bound by their own data agreements and receive only what they need to perform their role.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Marketing email is opt-in and can be managed in your account's communication preferences.
Data retention
Order records are retained as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Account information is kept while your account is active; you may request deletion as described below.
Your rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. To exercise any of them, email contact@avsdepot.com — we respond within a reasonable timeframe. Note that we may be required to retain order records for legal and accounting purposes even after an account is deleted.
Security
We use HTTPS throughout the site, hashed password storage, role-limited database access, and PCI-compliant payment processing. No method is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by law.
Children
The store is intended for adults making purchases. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect. The version shown here applies from its effective date.
